Plans and pricing
Shelfcast is billed through Shopify. There’s no separate invoice and no card to enter: your plan appears on your normal Shopify bill.
You’ll find your plan in Settings → Plan. Change plan opens Shopify’s plan page, where you can compare the plans and pick one.

Starter covers the day-to-day: suppliers, purchase orders, receiving, counts, history and imports. Its reorder suggestions come from the reorder points you set on each product.
Growth adds forecasting, so suggestions allow for seasonality and skip the days you were out of stock. It also lets you turn suggestions into one draft purchase order per supplier in a click, and print barcode labels for what you receive.
Pro has everything in Growth, with no limit on locations or SKUs, and your support emails are answered first.
Every plan can email support@portsidelabs.io.
Billing and your free trial
Section titled “Billing and your free trial”Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, handled by Shopify. During the trial you get the plan you picked — to try forecasting, pick Growth or Pro.
After the trial, Shopify bills your plan every 30 days, not by calendar month, as a line on your Shopify bill. Prices are in US dollars.
Location and SKU limits
Section titled “Location and SKU limits”- Locations are your active locations in Shopify.
- SKUs are the product variants whose inventory Shopify tracks. A T-shirt in three sizes is three SKUs.
If you have more than your plan covers, Home shows a reminder such as “Your Starter plan covers 1 location, and you have 2 active.” with a View plans button.
The limits are reminders, not cut-offs. Nothing is blocked: Shelfcast keeps syncing, forecasting and suggesting for every location and product you have. Settings → Plan shows what your plan covers, such as “It covers 5 locations and 10,000 SKUs.”
Without a plan
Section titled “Without a plan”Until you pick a plan, or if your subscription ends, Home still opens, and every other page shows Choose a plan and opens Shopify’s plan page. Your data stays, and Shelfcast keeps syncing in the background, so everything is up to date when you pick a plan.
Change or cancel your plan
Section titled “Change or cancel your plan”Change your plan
Section titled “Change your plan”- Go to Settings → Plan and press Change plan.
- Shopify’s plan page opens. Pick a plan and approve it.
- Shopify brings you back to Shelfcast, which shows “Your plan is active.”
The new plan’s features apply straight away. A change made directly in Shopify reaches Shelfcast within a few minutes.
Moving down to Starter? Suggestions switch to reorder points, so set a reorder point on every product you reorder before you switch — products without one aren’t suggested. One-click purchase orders and labels go away. The forecast method you chose for each product is kept, ready for if you move back up.
Cancel
Section titled “Cancel”To stop paying for Shelfcast, uninstall it from your Shopify admin. Shopify stops the subscription.
When you uninstall:
- Your data is kept for 48 hours. Reinstall within that time and everything is still there.
- After 48 hours, everything is deleted — suppliers, purchase orders, counts, history and settings — when Shopify asks Shelfcast to erase your store’s data. It can’t be recovered.
So export anything you want to keep before you uninstall. → Privacy and your data
